This restored Harlequin three-piece bedroom set, originally sold as the “3 Piece Harlequin Budget Ensemble,” represents one of Merton Gershun’s most sculptural designs for American of Martinsville. The dimensional geometric fronts, warm walnut, and brass ring pulls give the suite a refined architectural presence.
The lowboy dresser, tall chest, and queen headboard have all been thoughtfully refurbished. The dresser and chest cases were fully refinished, and drawer and door fronts were carefully touched up, toned to match, and lacquered for a clean, unified sheen. The headboard was also refreshed with new lacquer. Drawer interiors were sealed with shellac for a fresh feel, brass pulls were polished, and all glides were serviced. Veneer repairs have been completed and color matched. Light signs of age remain only where appropriate for vintage authenticity.
The Thomasville burl wood mirrors shown are not part of the set but I am happy to include them at an additional cost.
